C'mon Pirates fans. We need all of your support on Saturday when we play Kilmarnock. Let's get back to seeing all the 'old faces' at the games again - A stripe 28/1/03
Hope the team keep their cool on Saturday and focus on the match ahead of them. As it's a 'one off' knockout game there can only be one winner - and it's going to be the Pirates. Hope there's a big support. - beano bob 29/1/03
Thanks very much for the info. Just shows you my age when the young Shields boy I watched has a lad playing the game himself! All the best with the site -Auld Dynamo 30/1/03
Well done to the team, who answered all their critics with the 10-3 hammering they gave Kilmarnock. Well done lads- Jocky Stick 1/2/03
Well done lads. Total concentration and well deserved winners-beano bob 1/2/03
What a game it was tonight. The fans were great and were right behind the team. Just shows what the lads are capable of, especially after their last performance against Kilmarnock. Keep it up team. The BNL is getting closer- Jerry 1/2/03
Gordon Nelson was blameless. Why was he sent off.? Probably to let Kilmarnock score 3 goals - Shirelle 1/2/03
Well done guys. You all played well. What a great turnout by the fans, hope it keeps up. - Jap 2/2/03
The team thoroughly deserved their victory tonight. Total commitment and no wee silly squabbles to take their minds of the match. Looking more like previous successful Pirates teams. Keep up the good scores and it could be the BNL next year- Barso 2/2/03
Like the other supporters, thought Saturday was a big improvement on the previous match v Avalanche, with the attitude a lot better, particularly seeing as we were minus a lot of our BIG players like the skipper-we handled our losses better than Kilmarnock as we've got quality all the way through our lines which few others have.Have a concern, though (not a criticism). Think we're still taking far too many penalties, which might cost us in the tight matches to come against the likes of Edinburgh and maybe Kirkcaldy-we can get away with killing powerplays against the weaker teams in the league, but we've still got a few 4 pointers to play, and a few powerplay goals against as the result of some indiscipline could cost us dear. Know that our style of hockey won't win us many friends, and I'm delighted to see us playing so aggressively, but I think we need to be careful against some of the teams we have still to play who could punish us if they have an extra player, or we're missing important players who are sitting out important matches because they got a sudden rush of adrenalin. We took about 50 minutes in penalties on Saturday, and if we repeat that sort of level against the likes of the Capitals, I fear (but hope not) that we might finish second in those matches that REALLY count. Here's hoping I'm wrong-really fancy having a serious end of season, championship winning, all night drinking, celebration dance/party! Bill Elliot 2/2/03
What a game the team had on Saturday. Everyone done really well and concentrated on the match. A much better Pirates team since the last time they met Kilmarnock. Full marks to the goalie for some superb saves - Kelly 3/2/03
Well done to the coach for getting The Pirates in the right frame of mind for the match. Their attitude was second to none. Lets give credit when it's due - Pat L 3/2/03
Hiya!Been thinking about adding a poll to my cheer site. Any questions you think i should ask you peeps. Or is there anything you want us to answer and i'll add those and the answers to the site as well? Ruthie x [asst. coach of Mutiny] 5/2/02
What a game the young netminder had on Saturday night. The team also played their hearts out, but the fans deserve a lot of credit for the vociferous support they gave the team I Hope as many come to the remaining games, as these are the games that are going to count if we want to be in the BNL next season.- Gee Gee 5/2/03
Poor show tonight unfortunately, although Inverness should be given credit for not giving up .SNL hockey is most certainly better than nothing, but the gap between top and bottom is a problem. The poor crowd is a reflection of what the punters thought of the fixture after the last gubbing we dished out to the highlanders.- Auld Dynamo 15/3/03
Pirates game this weekend has been switched to AWAY to Dundee Tigers in the Spring Cup semi final first leg. The match at home to Tigers in the SNL will need to be rearranged. As far as we know at the moment, the 2 games on the 1st and 2nd March will be against Edinburgh Capitals SNL, in Paisley on Saturday and in Edinburgh on the Sunday. Unfortunately, nobody thought to advise the programme editor or announcer or even the Paisley rink manager before, during or even after Saturdays game at home to Inverness. At Dundee on Sunday night we won 3-2 with a referee who even made Toby Craig look good ! Yes, he was that bad !!!!! And as for their DJ / announcer ? After the game I heard it was his first attempt. No doubt he will get better ! Stewart 18/2/03
hi there i was wondering if you can include player profiles in the website so we can find out more about our players thanks yvonne 22 18/2/03
Well done Pirates for the two excellent results at the weekend. Looks like it's all down to a fortnights time when we play Edinburgh twice. That should decide who's going to win the league. Let's hope we get a good support for the home game and beat Edinburgh AGAIN -Jocky Stick 19/3/03
i hear that murray is injured with a slip disk in his back. hope he gets better soon. Yvonne 22 19/2/03
Hope there's as good a turnout at the Edinburgh game as there was against Kilmarnock. The fans will make a big difference to this game. That was two great back to back results at the weekend. Jaz 19/2/03
I see by your fixtures list that the Dundee game is a Cup game and is being played away. Is there no hockey at the Lagoon centre next weekend - Pab 19/2/03
Well done to all the Pirates fans who made the journey to Dundee at the weekend. We managed to out-sing the Dundee supporters - Shirelle 19/2/03
Just like to wish the team good luck for their Spring Cup semi-final match against Dundee tomorrow. Hope they hammer them. They won’t get any favours if it’s the same dodgy ref as last week. Jocky Stick 21/2/03
We hope the team don’t give away any silly penalties in their game against the Tigers. They’ve got to keep themselves together and not be drawn into any trouble, Bets 21/2/03
Lets hope there's a good support for the home game against Edinburgh next week-end. If we can beat them home and away, then the league title should be ours. JF 21/3/03
Just like to wish you all the best for your cup game against Dundee on Saturday.- Boab
How about,- if all the fans that were at the kilmarnock game brought a friend to the edinburgh home game. It could be a near sell-out. Cmon fans be there next weekend. The team need you!! Jerry G 21/2/03
Well done to the Pirates for the excellent result against Dundee in the Spring Cup semi-final tonight.- John
Wot a result!! Well done Paisley Pirates. You thoroughly deserved to win the match against our tired looking Tigers side. Hope you win the league.- Dun D 1 22/2/03
I understand about 70/80 supporters turned up last night at the Lagoon and were none too chuffed to discover the game against Dundee was not at home, after last Saturday's announcement to say it was. Pity-wonder how many of them will bother to show next Saturday? Also-if we get through to the last stages of all the competitions are we going to have enough time left to play all our home games? I know that the ice is being lifted at the Lagoon on 6 May, but after next Saturday our ever changing fixtures list doesn't have us at home again until 22 March, not do I think Junior Development will simply move over and cancel their fixtures just to let us play off outstanding games-any chance of getting a definitive fixture list from somewhere which shows EXACTLY when we're going to play all these games?? Bill 23/2/03
Hiya! Was thinking about all the hockey tops the Pirates have had over the years. Does anyone have any pictures/designs of the various tops. Would be interesting to see what different ideas have been used. Thanks, Ruthie x 24/2/03
I was one of the fans who turned up at Paisley on Saturday with my wee boy. I was gutted. I am using a friends PC just now as I haven't got one, so I didn't know that the game was away. The guy's right when he said 70-80 fans turned up. The kids were freezin' . It's two important games at the weekend. Are they on? Are they away? Is it a cup game? Crystal balls at the ready!!- beano bob 25/2/03
Go on the pirates, what a result up in Dundee the Jute makers 0 the Pirates 9 , that’s the way we should be playing every week or is it every single Saturday and Sunday What’s happening with the fixtures we seem to be playing two games a weekend. That can't be good for our lads. Maybe someone should buy the guy who does the league schedule a calendar ! Anyway, if we play the way we beat the Jute makers the we should be up for east coast trainspotters at the weekend - alfiethecat.28/2/03
good luck this weekend against the capitals guys lets hope for another shutout yvonne22 28/2/03
Gutted!!! -Jaz 2/3/03
