PAISLEY Pirates’ scheduled Scottish National League match at Inverness, tonight, has been cancelled.
Inverness claim they cannot get ice, but Pirates officials aren’t so sure.
They’re running scared,” said Pirates’ coach Derek Dunlop. “They had some guys thrown out against Fife last weekend and I don’t think they fancied playing us,
Desperate
“But we were desperate to play, we’ve got Mark Steele, Rodger Monson and James Clark all suspended, but still believed we could handle Inverness, even up there, without them.“This means, we could be without Mark, Rodger and Clarky for a big game, of which we’ve got one or two coming up.”
So with no Pirates match, the weekend’s ice hockey action at The Lagoon is:
Sunday: Paisley Warriors v Dumfries Under-14s, at 6pm, followed, at 7.15pm by Paisley Tomahawks v Dumfries Under-16s. |
