Thought I send some pics your way of my dad during his stay in Scotland. My dad put me on to your site this month when we came home for a Christmas visit. My name is Mike, one of four sons to Elwood Shell. My dad will be turning 80 next month and is in great shape. He just renewed his license for another 2 years. He can remember things and details going back to those days that amaze us, because he has a better memory than his younger sons. After Scotland my dad and a few of his hockey buddies played for the University of North Dakota where my dad was captain for his four years there. He still keeps in contact with many from that Paisley team, Ken Head is in Grande Prairie Alberta, Ben Cherski is in California, and my dad lives in St.Albert Alberta. We just lost my mother in August, a partner to my dad for 55 years. One thing he has been doing lots lately is using the computer and that is when he came across your site. He enjoyed looking back at the players stats. I'm sending you some pictures from that period in time and contact information below. The last picture is of my dad with my two children ( Cassie and Colby ) taken in Oct. of this year. click here for the photos

My name is Eric Gierloff and I came across the website for the Paisley Pirates.  I saw that you were looking to contact former players, and I saw Hal Schooley's name.  I played on the Flamborough Gamblers where Hal was the head coach back in 1988-1989.  The last I knew, he was still living in Hamilton.  Didn't know if this would be helpful, but I thought I would try and help. I am a Paisley Buddy and have lived in Canada for the past 42 years. I was a Pirates fan in the 50's. My family actually had season tickets for the Pirates for many years. That was the highlight of my week, going to see the Pirates on a Friday night
I would really like to be in contact with any of the players who played between 1953 and 1959, before I left for Canada. I was brought up to be a fanatic by my Father! I knew quite a few of them when I was a teenager, i.e. Gerry Corriveau, Des Moroney, Paul Olafson, etc. I also knew Ray Boucher, and actually introduced him to my French Teacher at School, i.e. John Neilson Institution. She was from France, but they didn't understand each other very well.
Also, Hal Schooley boarded in the home of a school mate! Any info you can give me would be appreciated.
