Hi We were at our first match on Saturday and thought that the flyers were the better team. The pirates played well but just couldnt get the finishing touches. We would like to wish the team all the best for the coming season and we'll be back again. The Morrisons

Wot time's face off for the fife game. GG

Well done to the Braehead Pirates for their result against Dundee Stars at the weekend. I hope the team can keep it up and get a result against Fife JT

As a regular Pirates supporter from the 50's, I'm surprised at the lack of advertising of your matches at Braehead. You can walk the length and breadth of Paisley and you will not see any fliers in any of the shops detailing any games, "No Tell - No Sell". Bob G.

Hi !My Name's Rick Nichol.Im looking for a new club for the rest of this season because the team I was playing for folded. Im in Spain and was playing in the Spain Natioñal league Elite in C.G Val d Aran.Im a thirteen year Canadian Pro Goaltender and have played 10 seasons in United States and my third season in Europe

Hi, I am interested in playing for the Paisley Pirates. I'm a 24-year-old Canadian defenseman living in Glasgow and have played a few years of Junior'A' in my home province of Ontario and went on to play for Queen's University (Kingston, Canada) in the CIS. I'd be interested in coming down to the rink to watch a game or practice and meet the coach to get things started. I am not sure where in the Pirates organisation this email will end up but hopefully it ends up in the right persons hands. Looking forward to hearing back Cheers Mike

I attended my first Paisley Pirates game at Braehead today and it was really good. Great value admission money (£10 for us) and a good game to see - a fair amount of skill and some hard hits into the bargain. Only disappointing matters were how long it took to have penalties and goals announced, and sometimes there were long-ish delays without music or announcements. There were a few problems with the clock / penalties on the scoreboard and why not set the clock to countdown from 15mins during the period intermissions? No souvenir table there today, but someone said there usually is one. Good day out - we'll be back! Tait family, Falkirk.

The Pirates were unlucky against the stars. Well done to alan for reducing the price to get in. raymie

Hello, My name is Jason Thaler. My grandfather is Jack Thaler. He played for the pirates in the 1947-1948. I was wondering if there was any way to get a jersey sent to me (just tell me the price). He lives in Oshawa Ontario Canada. Please get back to me. I am going to go visit him pretty soon and I will ask him if he has any old pictures from the pirates. If he has any I will scan them in and send them to you guys. Please get back to me. Jason Thaler

We were at our first hockey game tonight and thought it was brilliant. Unfortunately I didn't get a programme. Could you please send me a list of your fixtures for the coming weeks. HM

Hello: My name is Mike Bettens and I am a former Paisley Pirate (mid-late 90's). I just wanted to wish you and the team all the best this upcoming season! Do you update this site on a regular basis? I hope so, as it would be great to follow the success of the current team. Take care, Mike (Betsy) Bettens

Are the pirates playing the warriors tonight and if so what time is the face off - Bren

Hello from Canada. My husband and I used to go to the East Lane Ice Rink in Paisley. Does anyone have any memories from that time and if anyone can remember us it would be great to hear from them. Bob and Dorothy(nee McKay) Gilmour

How are you? Where can I get Pirates merchandise from. I can't find a link on your site. We are going to Ontario in a few weeks and we would like to wear our local hockey team jersey while we are there. We hope you can help us. The Buchanan Family

Is there a supporters bus going to the Billingham match at the weekend. I might have time off work to go. Could you please let me know. Nick H

Hve u got a match this weekend. KN

I was also at the match against Blackburn Hawks on Saturday and thought the pirates were unlucky not to win. It was a good game nevertheless. Thanks for the entertainment - BGS

Hello there, I used to go to all the pirates matches at Braehead last season. Can you tell me why there has been such a rise in admission prices? £3 on an adult and £5 on a family of four. I suspect that is why there were about 200 people at the match against Blackburn. I saw on a forum that there was supposed to be 500 fans there. What a lot of nonsense. I don't mind the prices going up a pound or so but the latest rise is nothing short of ridiculous. £8 to see a second rate team who were beaten by a better younger side. I thought I might have got a refund as the match was terrible. I know a few people who won't be back because of the prices and because of the scores in the last few matches. Hi, I run the UK forum www.EIHLHockeyfights.co.uk (which was formerly www.hockeyfightsUK.com) and I was wondering if I would be able to set a list of interview questions for Chris Conaboy to answer? The questions would be provided by members of the forum and I could forward them via email after which they could be answered by Chris in his own time and returned to myself via email if possible? If you check out my website I have already done this with several other guys in the UK elite league such as Jeremy Cornish, Brad Voth & Brad Cruikshank..... As part of a new focus I am hoping to look at tough players based in other UK leagues and focusing more on homegrown talent, it would make a nice addition to have a few questions answered by Chris...I remember seeing him take on Mike Ware in the devils rink one year and I have remembered him ever since. Please let me know if this is ok and if so how who should I best contact? Thanks Andrew James

Dear Sir/Madam, I am attempting to contact the general manager for the Paisley Pirates. I wish to contact him/her regarding the opportunity to become a team photographer for the 2007-08 season. Please contact me Sincerely, Michael P. Hall

Hi, Me and a Finnish friend of mine, both based in Glasgow, will come around to watch the next Pirates' home game, and I was just wondering whether there will be any Nordic players around this season to hurl abuse at?
Cheers, Henrik

Your very own McCamley made his elite league debut tonight for the Edinburgh Capitals and saw a fair amount of ice. He was on a line with fellow ex Paisley player Mark Patterson and Ian Bowie, One of the few all Brit forward lines in the league. The Capitals won tonights game 4-2 so maybe McCamley will be a lucky omen. Mark will ice again for the Elite league Capitals when they meet the Cardiff Devils for the 2nd game of this weekends double header, Face off 18:30. With No pirates game on Sunday your all very welcome to visit Murrayfield and see how well your two local boys are doing in the Elite. Hockeyanimal
